COMPANY HISTORY

In 1973, Ernie and Margie Power purchased an interest in Valley Communication and Sound d.b.a. Raytronics. They worked at making the company a prosperous and respected contender in the low-voltage contracting marketplace in San Diego and surrounding areas. Raytronics was an authorized Rauland-Borg Distributor, manufacturing a line of drive-thru intercom systems and provided background music for various types of businesses. The company was relatively profitable and earned a niche for itself.

In order to have more control over company policy and operations, The Powers persuaded the majority stockholders to split the company to two entities, whereby they could take their part and build it into the kind of organization for which they had been looking. They both had years of experience in the electronic field, not just in sales, but also in service and installation. This was the opportunity to "do the right thing", and ran with it in the summer of 1981.

Power Communication has continued to grow as a family owned and operated company. Through dedication to excellence, the company has built a reputation for performance, reliability, and integrity, recognized by clients and competitor alike.
